About the event

Week Five

Each day this week begin with Paul’s prayer preserved in 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12.

Father, make us worthy of your calling, and by your power bring to fruition our every desire to do good and every deed prompted by faith. May we live our lives in such a way that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us and You in him. May this be according to your grace.

Each day this week finish your time reflecting on the supremacy of God in Hebrews 1:8-12.

Of the Son He says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”

He also says,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”

Week Six

Each day this week begin receiving Jesus’ prayer for you recorded in John 17:

I pray also for those who will believe in me through the message passed down. I pray that they may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Each day this week finish your time reflecting on the supremacy of Jesus in Revelation 1:12-18.

I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sunshining in all its brilliance.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
