About the event

Sunday Morning Guide

Conversations with God II

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18

What you will experience this morning

· You will hear the Lord speaking to us through prayer

· You will word our prayers of God relying on scripture

· You will reflect in song on the prayers we are praying

Matthew 6:9-15

What did you hear God say to you through the prayer that was prayed?

In the spaces below, write the entire Lord’s prayer as if you are speaking to the Lord. For example: “Father, you are everywhere. You are right here with me. You are holy.”

‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Psalm 23

What did you hear God say to you through the prayer that was prayed?

In the spaces below, write the entire Psalm 23 as if you are speaking to the Lord. For example: “You, Lord, are my shepherd. I have everything I need.”

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures

He leads me beside quiet waters.

He restores my soul

He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for You are with me

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 1

What did you hear God say to you through the prayer that was prayed?

You now know the pattern. Write Psalm 1 below, verse by verse, as if you are speaking to the Lord. For example: “I am blessed by You, Lord, when I do not; make decisions based on the counsel of the wicked, plan my life according to the pattern of people opposed to You, or hang out with people who scoff at You and Your ways. Actually, I am blessed when I delight in Your law and meditate on it day and night.”
