About the event
God speaks to us, most commonly through the Bible. He reveals who He is, who we are and how to live well.
The Bible is our source of truth and authority.
"The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
You are invited to explore the book of Genesis. We will look at what the book says and explore how the big ideas are reflected in history.
We will read the week before the sermon and then explore together Sundays!

These habits will change our world.
1. Listen to God alone. Set aside a specific time alone each day, five days a week, to read the Bible, the Word of God.
a. Begin praying, “Father, show me what you want me to see.”
b. Highlight what stands out to you as you read.
c. Questions are provided to help you explore.
2. Listen with a friend. Set aside at least ½ hour a day, five days a week to:
a. Share what stood out to you in the reading.
b. Think through what God is saying to the two of you.
c. Consider what God wants you to do.
d. Pray together.
The goal of these habits is to become so skilled at hearing and doing what God says that we can naturally help others so follow Christ.
This is the way Jesus lived.
“Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son likewise does these things.” John 5:19
Hearing God and doing what He says are foundational practices for God’s children.
The life God has designed us for and for us is beyond anything we have imagined.
