This week’s readings draw together a sweeping view of Jesus’ mission—from His powerful beginnings in Mark 1, where He announces the Kingdom of God and calls His first disciples, to the victorious resurrection scenes in John 20–21 and Matthew 28. In Luke 19, we see the heart of Jesus as He weeps over Jerusalem, revealing His deep compassion and longing for people to turn to God. Mark 15 brings us to the agony of the crucifixion, where Christ bears the weight of sin with quiet strength.
